was after a thorny for ages !! myself n saving privet brian headed of to a mark last nite we wher told we mite get a skate,tide was going fast on us so got the bait out quike and as far as i could thump it,using a pulley rig on one rod and a 2 hook flapper on the other,after about ten minites the rod twitched n bent over,,got my thornie 5 n a half pound,, after that i got 3 sanddog and 2 whitting,,,,,, brian was after a turbot but nothing doing but he got 4 sanddog and 4 whitting,,,,nice little session,enjoyed it,,,,

what your calling (sanddog) is our common lesser spotted dogfish also known as LSD/ Doggie/or Dog, as far as i know over in the US of A they have a thing called a sanddog it's not the same thing :wink:
