#1 Post by BigPhil »

does anyone ever do much winter shore fishing in the area of south down from the shore?its just that i never notice many reports from down apart from ards peninsula etc. newcastle , kilkeel ,carlingford direction?surely there are plenty of fish holding areas or is it just that these places are not as regularly fished?

i fished carlingford a few times from a boat i honestly thing that i would have caught more at the local swimming pool - at least there there is a chance of crabs!

Hello there,

I regularly fish Carlingford lough. Mostly with plug and fly for bass and I do really well. Best bass this year was 8 1/2lb!
