Fishing straight out from parking area is rough ground : Huss , Dogs & strap Conger.
Ground is clean 200 yards to the right : Ray & Dogs (odd Flounder).

fished it last week and never had a touch on mackerel, squid and sandeel, not even a doggie, and its normally paved with them.
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

Just to let you know I fished a comp down here on wednesday and thursday last week. On the wednesday we fished up to the right hand side of the carpark. We fished during the day from 12pm-4.30pm. The tide was low starting off. The beach is all large rocks and the ground is rough out to about 30 yards then it drops off into the channel and its a sandy bottom. Fishing was poor for the day with only a few dogs showing and two huss to just under 8lb's were also landed.
On the thursday we fished down to the left of the car park. The ground was much rougher and there was now way of hitting the channel. We were casting straight out onto boulders and weed. The fishing was poorer the second day with only a few dogs and a couple of small huss caught and two rockiling. Strong rods and terminal tackle essential here as its tough ground.
Best baits seemed to be sandeel but mackerel, razor and crab all caught dogs aswell. Huss were caught on mackerel in close enough.
Its a lovely spot and i'm sure its capable of fishing much better.
Long time no sea.
