sea trout

went for a spin saturday with no entensions of fishing,but had the rods n bait in the car from the day before was in achill nothing doing blank,,,, anyway i ended up on a beach as ya do had a look at the bait,was a bit manky,, lashed a sand eel to the hook,,, was into my second cast on very mushy sandeel seen the rod bend and got me a nice little sea trout,,, the tide was well on the ebb no flats to be had,,,,nice to get the trout took a pic then released it,,,,

well done it always nice when you dont plan a session and it turns out to be good... nice fish..... and a great photo....

Did you see the article in the most recent edition of 'Irish Angler'?

They're asking for the help of anglers again with the Celtic Sea, seatrout project. Samples of scales, location of catch, other fish dimensions etc are being requested.
