Rossbeigh Strand

Hi my dad booked us to travel down to kerry in August. Im fishing for bass. What lures to use at that beach, what line and whatpart of the beach.

use lug or crab fish incoming tide keep tackle simple best on dark fish just left as u enter car park best march november

I've only fished it a few times with no success but I know lads who have done really well. The hotspot is to the left of the start of the car park close to the rocks. They fished the Daiwa pairs there last summer , you might be able to get some info online on how it went.
Lures work well here too I'm told. Good luck.

heard on the news the other day that due to the danger of quicksand Kerry Council may close off access to Rossbeigh Strand. It seems some walkers got into difficulties there and had to be rescued. Only caught part of the report so someone may have more up to date info.
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

I dont think its the whole of the beach its up the top

It will be the far end where the gap has formed if they do it, I to only caught the tail end on the radio as well, not heard anything on the local radio site though, it can be well dodgy on there, I had a very close shave there a few months back when all the sand turned to jelly, just realised in time and off like a shot following my tracks!
