About 8 years ago I caught a large Pollack from the rocks in Doolin. I caught it with a luminous green rubber sandeel. As I lifted it out of the water the line snapped and it was gone. I took a break for a few hours and later went back to the same mark. Seen the green sandeel darting around in the depths

The strangest 'thing' i've seen when fishing was a Pollack i caught on board the Missy Moo, damn thing was deformed around the lower Jaw, ugly! lol..

Strangest incident would have been fly fishing a local put and take place, i had placed the rod down briefly to choose a new fly, the tip of the rod was just about dangling off the edge with about 4 foot of leader (and the old fly) still attached, i had my back turned and just heard a thump in the water before my rod started taking off on it's own, a 4lb Unstocked Brown Trout was the result, obviously it had been snooping the edge of the rushes for food. Nice.

Whilst fishing a local river one night I heard a car pull up about 50 yards away. As I was a kid at the time I was on my bicycle so I had no car anywhere.

The driver and his passenger went into the trees behind me and proceeded to get jiggy with it. At the time this was great stuff as a teenager but I could see sod all!

Now is this dogging I wonder? :D
