brittas, wicklow, 27/04/10

#1 Post by corbyeire »

People: myself and shamoo

Duration: 9-12

Tide: started filling about 10.30

Weather: overcast SSE breeze, odd light shower

Bait: fresh dug lug, mac, squid

Rigs: 3 hook flappers, pulleys

Results: 1 flat mark, 1 dog me

Report: it was fairly pants - he had a flat after 2.5 hours and i had a doggie on last cast after 3 hours

seemed like there should have been lots more action - nice enough surf - looked very fishey - was so bored i started picking up the empty chinese trays from other anglers (i guess) - and admired the general rubbish about the beach and the little car park

really dont get the crowd that go to the bother of tidying up their rubbish on the beach and then leave it in the carpark in a bag - youve done the hardwork just bring it home!!!

all the same it was very peaceful out there and had a snooze on the sand - happy to see that dog i tell you

Never fished brittas bay before, but with a decent surf I'd say it could produce the goods.

oh no - more tales of woe

i always feel sorry for chaps that make a journey from another side of the country to go fishing on brittas or ennereilly

point number one - youve come this far you may aswell keep going another bit south!
