Trailer hub needed

#1 Post by just add water »

Hi all.
Anyone know where in Cork I would find a trailer hub?
I towed my boat from Dublin to Cork, then out to Aghada pier to launch the boat and put it on her moorings. When I got to Cork I heard a strange sound from the trailer. When I had a look the jockey wheel had come loose and was trailing the ground. A quick adjustment and I was off again to Aghada. Got to Aghada and started to reverse the boat down the slip, more strange sounds, managed to launch the boat and get her on the moorings. When I came back in I jacked up the trailer and poked at the wheel and it fell off into my hands. All I could think off was thank God it didn't come off while the boat was on it.
Now I need to find a hub in Cork to get me back on the road.
Cheers Andrew

Depending on the make, size etc.

Try:

Brownlows: 021 4313377 Indespension agents (City)

Spillane Trailers: (021)4510520 (Little Island)

Southern trailers: (021)4270104 (city)

Your stub could be damaged. Best check the condition.
The hub should come with bearings. If not contact Reliance Bearing (little Island) 021 4354204
