People:me

Duration:21.00-02.00

Tide:falling-riseing

Weather:ok

Bait:crab

Rigs:flappers/clipped/pulleys

Results:8 codling 3 flounder 8 painted ray lost count of school bass 1 proper bass 6lb




Report:headed back to the beach that has been good to me of late and i was not dissapointed again it was a fish a cast with a couple of double bass hook ups best fish of the night were 1.5lb cod 4.8lb ray 6lb bass happy days :D not going to talk about the 2 huge fish i lost in surf :oops: :lol: :x

Nice bass, what sort of distance were you getting the ray at?
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)

nice fishing us lads. in the west would love to lose count the amount of bass we got in one session only problem is its usually nada so thats hard to forget.Were they fresh peelers?
I was out gathering bait yesterday and there were a few softies and peelers about?

Excellent fishing and a nice mixed bag. Would also like to know the distance and bait for the ray if that's ok?

cheers frank was getting the smaller ray at about 30 yards the bigger ones were taken at 70 plus yards

was a new experience for me catching that amount of bass could get used to it very fast 8) all fresh peeler

cheers kev was getting small ray on my flatty rod about 30 yards out was enjoyable getting flounder and a ray on the same cast bigger ones were a bit further out only bait i use pleasure fishing is fresh peeler crab as i sell them i have no shortage of them :lol:

know how ya feel red ruxt wouldn come with me last night wasnt up for standing on the beach watching me catch fish all night :lol: probably not fishing till weekend

Now thats quality fishing,well done John those crabs of yours must have a secret ingredient,they are worth their weight in gold at the moment,makes up for the lack of double figure cod this winter down your way,lovely fishing keep it up.
