fished the comp on saturday. i was second last peg 104, near the outflow from the waterfall. couldn't manage a single fish. Seanibo came fourth overall and missed out on the biggest flat by 2cm. we could've clinched a pairs prize if i had of caught a single fish. i tried everything!! Bigphil had a flounder too, just to show me up!
i only saw one undersize fish from the anglers fishing to my left. many headed home over an hour before the end!
the winds were strong and the surf very heavy. it was difficult fishing. the fish that were caught came at different ranges to both fixed grippers and moving leads.
i think one bass was caught and the rest of the sizable fish were flounders. i think 3 fish won it.
brilliant weekend. knackered from runnin up and down the beach and the occassional pint(ehem). our table did well in the raffle after the comp with four of us winning six of the prizes!!

mb3 you coulda caught a few if you had have not had those 'few pinties' the night before it!!
well done to seanibo on a high placing as i think that it was the first time he had fished the venue
and congratulations must go to sert schultz for winning the event with 3 flounder in such dreadful conditions!....and fair play to all who fished to the end and endured them as well!
