With the lure fishing picking up in the past couple of weeks a session was on the cards for Thursday as tide & weather was ideal. We were at the mark & fishing within twenty minutes. The bay was full of Gannets diving, it was looking fishy
& soon we were into some action, Pollock & Coaley’s every few casts with a few nice Pollock between 3 & 4lb showing 
. A Basking shark put in an appearance
cruising up & down by the rocks & at one stage was about thirty yards from us!! It stayed for an hour then headed out the bay.Best session of the year yet !!23rd
Was dying to get back down hoping for a repeat performance of Thursday, the sea was calm, no wind & the seagulls were feeding on the surface. The Coaleys were attacking the lures after awhile with a few nice Pollock mixed in, the biggest been 4lb
, it went quiet for twenty minutes or so until a Pollock about 6 or 7lb, made a plunge for the spinner just missing it on the surface 
, tried cast after cast but could not tempt him 
so gave up & moved further down the rocks, where we were back catching coaleys again, with the brother pulling out a 3.5lb Pollock. I finished up with a nice Pollock on the last cast, so happy days. Roll on the next session!!
