Dodder Madness!!
I was having a gawk at you tube earlier today and I came accross this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QC2w9wEIYJY
Now maybe I'm over reacting but I beleive that the fish in the video are being mistreated. Not only that but I'm amazed that the video would then be posted. Are the lads involved given any training as to how to handle a fish by the Dodder Angling Club?

I think you might be over reacting alright, theres a guy buried up to his neck in the Sudan getting stoned to death on there somewhere, now thats cruelty
Those guys are just restocking the river, most probably voluntarily.

OK Eyes, but their methods are less than ideal.

Must say, they handled that poorly. I cringed a couple of time watching that clip.
A little bit more forethought, and a pair of chestwaders, could have done a grand job there.
Still, fair play to the lads for getting involved and making a contribution. Too many club anglers simply reap the benefits of the few who do the work.

Re: Dodder Madness!!
That's my point entirely. They are giving up their valuable time for the club but a little training would have gone a long way. I've no problem with the lads themselves, just their methods.

Good point Stephen. I agree, their methods aren't great.

No people were hurt in the making of this video
. My local mark on the Tolka was stocked up on the last bank holiday when they left, two blokes came with a net and took all the fish

Re: Dodder Madness!!
had to admit i did not like the tone of the post but after watching the vid i dont think i have ever seen such incompetence. i'm pretty sure the club paid good money for the fish as they are expensive to rear to a good size and to transport but i think the bottom line is HELLO SEA ANGLING......

Re: Dodder Madness!!
Hi Eoin, sorry if the tone of the post wasn't to your liking. I'm not having a go at the lads or the club, just asking a question and making a point. And yes, it's a sea angling site and I could have put it in the game angling section. Sorry if that upset you aswell. How's the tone of this post working out for you.
