the LED Lenser is about €50, the rechargable version is about €5/10 dearer but if you have rechargable batteries id go for the ordinary one.

yep, thats the one. got mine 6months ago and its a good light for the price. i found the batteries that came with the h7r werent great, i could notice a loss of light after a few hours(still plenty of light left, just not as strong). i usually have the light on full for baiting up and releasing fish and on low when watching the tips. i popped in a decent set of rechargables and they last much longer so if i was to get another one id buy the h7 and spend the few bob saved on decent rechargables instead.

Head lights my pet hate. Here we go,the silva rechargeable one loads of problems with faulty connections, tiga same story works fine sometimes but not reliable very bright though. The petzl myo is a little dinger not ultra bright but super dependable and always in my box.Bought the new spelio nova [non rechargeable] at xmas seems fine but a bit flimsy[battery case] so don't use mine in the heavy rain.
I've seen the one Denis has in action the other night and it is very bright and tidy looking,if i have light outage in the next few months i'll def go for the h7.

I agree, great light for the price. I find the battery doesnt last that long in mine though.(even though i fish most nights) i find iv to change it every 2 weeks max so im thinking of investing in some rechargeables

I've got the Speleo Nova Plus, brilliant headlight if you can stretch to it as I think it's slighty more expensive!!

  He hasnt been the same since the Silva Alpha came out   I have the Led Lenser H7 myself and it does me fine,my Silva L1 died on me,it was ok but I prefer a wider beam for baiting up etc,,the laser like beam on it it did come into its own for keeping rats at bay in Greystones though
