Report:went to this mark after jason rang to say he needed to fish!had loads of bait left over from sunday so after a quick call to davy were on our way, myself and jason were set up by five thirty, the tide was well out, but there was a lovely surf so, hopes were high, davy joined us about an hour later and we were still fishless, fishing was slow for the next hour but then the shout"fish on" from davy and he brought in a nice seatrout of about a pound,he released it quickly and away it swam, hopes were high again and there was less talk and more concentration, but fishing slowed down again, near high tide i finally caught,a nice flounder,29cm,and i was happy, blank saved. jason was begining to get jittery from the lack of fish but davy was in the groove and had a great scrap from his second seatrout of the evening a bigger fish of about two lb,it was quickly released to fight another day, then the flounder came on the feed, and both myself and jason caught, mine was 30cm and jasons one 28cm.i then got a double, and jason got another, but all of these were about 25cm.davy left about eleven well pleased with himself and we gave it another half hour but with nothing to show for it but a grand night if a bit cold, with fish caught, all i was thinking was "why did this not happen on sunday" no pics as my camara FINALLY gave up the will to live!!

really good to get out... had been feckin ages, as noel said slow to start, but not a bad tally by the end of the nite. the second seatrout was a cracker, and gave a good account of himself on the spinning rod.
college finished for the summer!!!, so plently more fishin for me
oh yeah, both sea trout were taken on a bunch of earthworms, with a tiny bit of mack belly... its my new favorite beach bait accounting for turbot, weaver, sea trout, flounder, bass, wrasse, mackeral and coalies so far. They keep for weeks too
would be good to get the northwest crew together for a session soon !
Nice fishing lads. Loads of good trout around at the minute.

Don't mind him Noel tell him you'll share the venue with him if he tells you where he caught the cracker of a sea trout Sunday night that he seems to be keeping quiet.
