Sutton Beach

#1 Post by Wes »

Anybody see The Sun newspaper over the weekend?
2 lads took some fierce big bass on bait during the week. 2 of them over 10lbs!
Started out using lures then moved to the bait, and thats when they started to pull them in.
Mark, have you been trying or had any luck on dollier yet? Friend of mine also said the pigeon house was giving some wee uns.

i was supposed to get out last week but never pulled it off! chose my bloody timing well eh?!! just goes to show that you can have a red letter day on your doorstep without travelling to the other ends of the country! myself and Seanibo got fed up fishin around sutton with bait due to how unproductive it was for the bass. good quality crab baits going to waste. maybe the bottom fishing only starts in late autumn?? been out chasing codling with mixed results- there are a few around. ahh i need the bass fix again!! 10lb'ers are lovely fish. fair play to the lads that caught them.

Where on Sutton Beach

I'm just a Corkonian temporarily living in Dublin (26 years to date !)
Is Sutton beach just behind the Marine Hotel on Sutton Cross ?
Is there a specific mark there ?

pass the hotel, keep to the right, take the next right along the coastline and drive past the dinghy club. You'll come to a few adhoc parking spaces. form that point to the martello tower is apparently where it all happens...
