Wexford beach

#1 Post by Al »

People:Myself mb.3 and my mate jon

Duration:11:00pm-2:30 am

Tide:wet

Weather:cold and clear

Bait:rag, mac, sandeel

Rigs:loop RIGS , 3 hook clipped & flappers

Results:Spotted Ray, starry/common smoothound, codling, dogs, whiting, dabs.

Went out on a spur of the moment session, dug rag at dollymount and got the frozen slop from marks freezer and hit the road. We weren't expecting much so I didn't bring a camera. First cast resulted in a starry smoothound pup for me, a doggie for mark and a codling for my mate Jon. We were chuffed, next cast I had a doggie and Mark picked up a Spotted Ray of about 1 1/2 lb..Happy days :D The doggies were obliging enough and good to get a bend in the rod :) A few whiting and dabs were thrown into the mix, I then got another common smut pup towards the end and we finished off with a few more dogs.

Wish I brought the camera..nothing monsterous but good to see that summer might be coming :D

Too lazy to do a report :)

Myself and Mark hit the same beach last night from about 12:30 4:00am plenty of dogs, whiting and dabs. I had 5 more smut pups too! No Ray though this time! Good night :D
