Report got to fahan and meet up with tom who was already on the beach and set up, me and the son set up just to the right of him, a while later john (Beachcaster) arrived and set himself up to the left of tom. so there was eight rods now out, everything was very quiet so i just kept changing the baits about every 15 minutes or so, tom went to change his bait and felt a bit of weight, he never seen any bites on the rod so he just thought it was weed, he got a nice shock when he landed a 6lb 14oz thornie, nice one tom so that was him off the mark a few pic's and it was released back to the water. we were then all watching our rod tips waiting for the onslaught, we waited and waited nothing!!!! and that was the way things were for the rest of the session, not even a bite i tyred every bait i had, tryed at distance and in close, and still nothing the only weight i felt was when hauling in about 2 stone of weed on one of my rods, checked it out to see (rather hoped) if there was a ray in the middle of the weed, sod all only 4 or 5 crabs attached to my bait BTW dose a crab save the blank fishing wasn't great but the good company and bit of banter made up for it. roll on the next session
