A big thank you to all on the forum for advice on which multipliers to buy.
Now i have them a daiwa 7ht for beachwork and daiwa sealine 20shv from the slosh range for rough ground.
Can you give me advice on how to clean after each trip, when and how often do i need to oil them and what to use. and lastly when and how often do i get them serviced.
Again right choice or not (i trust daiwa so stuck with them) i want to thank you and hope to see some of you on the beach soon.
Multiplier care......... and a big thank you

after use give them a good clean down with a wet cloth and dry of leave in airing cupboard to dry completly, how often you oil the bearings is up to you .as for servicing get them done every year saves any magor problems.i would use something like red rocket fuel to oil the bearings.cheers beachcaster.
The bearings in the spool need to be relubed every three months although I only get around to it maybe every 6 or so. Sit em in lighter fluid for 10 mins, then let them dry out for an hour or so over a radiator to remove any lighter fluid and add few drops of red rocket fueld and you're away.
Generally I would only strip down the gear housing once a year and smear the gears etc. with a suitable grease. Petroleum Jelly a.k.a vaseline does a good job
