Decent Kerry Marks?

I have a long weekend off from work next week and would like to go off somewhere in the country with the intention of catching some decent fish. I'm thinking maybe the Dingle Peninsula. It's an awful long way to go without proper knowledge of marks. Could anyone give me some information on where's a good bet for some decent results and the techniques to be used this time of year. All fish will be returned. Getting seriously frustrated with the East Coast marks. From what I seen in my time boarding trawlers in my navy days im surprised the tiddlers being caught on the East Coast get through at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Am planning a session myself, although not in Kerry...

Gonna be near flat calm, decent tides around 4 m but high water around 6-7 pm so not ideal.

With such little in the way of rainfall I would imagine that Bass would be top of your list?

The other species that comes to mind is the various species of rays off the beaches (into darkness would have been ideal for the tides) and possibly some early seasons wrasse and pollack fishing off the rocks, although its a bit late for the best pollack (if its anything like Mayo).

Have you checked out the listed marks on the site, its old information but basically still accurate.
To give you the option of all three I would look at somewhere like the marks in and around Dingle harbour (search on the forums) and you can always target the mullet too - well in by now.

If your going to the dingle peninsula you'll probly be passing near ballydavid. Give bob moss a call, drop into him and pick up his books. €18 for the pair i think and they're good reading and probly the best info you're likely to pick up about the dingle peninsula. I'm plannig a trip down there myself soon and just recently got his books. Invaluable information to say the least. Hope this helps.
