Does anyone have a contact for fresh live crab and lug in the Cork area?
Seems doubly hard to get fresh bait from any tackle shop and would rather deal directly.

Re: Fresh Bait.
A lot of the tackle shops will look after their regular customers first so you have to get known in these places.
I know Dan in The Halfway has fresh crab and maddies and Cork Angling have farmed rag worm.
The other tackle shops may have similar stocks but as I have always dug my own bait I could not confirm what they stock
As above Byoh32 will supply you with crab.
There are plenty of places in Cork where you can dig your own bait.
PM me for locations

Re: Fresh Bait.
Heya Dave,
Ya is the best best, only thing is Im working out the country alot at the moment and try to get a bit of fishing in when Im home so it means I dont have much time to play with and the easiest thing is just to run down to Halfway or Sharkies for some bait...your right though cant beat catching with your own bait.
Donal has given me some great marks to get bait so I will try give it a go next weekend, tides being good un all.
Cheers Lads.

Dan in halfway has live crab at the moment( or at least he did a few days ago). I always found them to be top quality and not bad price.

Re: Fresh Bait.
Ya must admit Ive done my trawling in all the Cork tackle shops (back gardens and side garages) and Dan is by far the best for sorting you out for tackle and bait....Ive found all the other shops will charge you top notch regardless of how much your spending but at Halfway he seems to recognise your spending in his shop and gives you a couple of yoyos off...which is always appreciated...and which is why I always go back...Thats what its about eh!
