smoothie marks around dublin/wicklow???
i no the smoothies will be arriving soon and seeing as how ive never caught 1  
  
  was just wondering if any1 could point me in the direction of a good mark to av a go at them around dublin and wicklow?? tactics would be great p.m's welcome

Good sized peeler crab is the best bait (fresh rather than frozen is best), but I've caught them on king rag too.
They can be as close as 50/60 yards out, but usually around 100 yards or more.
I usually use a pennel pully rig, with 3/0's or 5/0's, but thats my personal preference.
Donabate/Portmarnock could be worth a go over the next month as I'm told smoothies seem to hit north of dublin early.
I'll be trying for them one or 2 nights next week if the tides are right (maybe even tomorrow evening), your welcome to join me, although I cant guarantee we'll get any.
They can/will be caught on most of the wicklow beaches right down to north wexford soon enough.
