something big grabbed a pollack caught by luke aston who kept fair pressure on it for
3 or 4 minutes, the shimano navi is a tough little reel. i was just thinking, c hrist not the
weigh scales in the quarry again :-) when a seal surfaced and broke the leader in his mouth.

It was great day out on the water. And for me opening of the boat fishing season. Water still needs to be warmer 5 to 6 degrees to be able to get in to the... ;)

Anyway, I enjoyed that trip very much! And big thanks to Helmut for the great sandwiches!

Finally last but not least, congratulations to jw who outfished us all again (as usual)

Has this happened to many people, seal taking a caught fish?

I remember a cormerant chassing my mackerel under the water a few years back.
