Ennereilly, Wicklow 07-04-10

People: Pat, cormac myself

Duration:15.30-21.30

Tide:left an hour after high tide

Weather: warm! little wind (southerly) patchy, occasional showers.

Bait:rag & squid/ whiting & scallop roe

Rigs:3 hook flapper, pennel

Results:4 school bass, 1 whiting, 2 flatties, 1 angry doggie





Report:after the recent reports of bass on the east coast, Pat,Cormac and I went chasing our first bass. We were not disapointed! Glad to say I caught my first (and only for the day) schoolie after the first hour! I was walkin on air! Couldn't resist the rag/squid which proved the bait of preference for the day.Pat hooked up two nice flatties next, and finished the day with two more school bass the lucky bugger. After a short tough fight, Cormac landed a particularly angry dog fish, and finished the night with the largest schoolie of the day 28cm. next target .... bigger bass! roll on the Rodger Buggy! :D

Well done on catching your Bass, I know what you mean about walking on air. They have the same effect on me everytime I catch one.

well done on getting a few spikey herring ,as for rolling on me will it hurt :?: :lol:

Well done guys and nice report. Looking forward to the big Fish comp myself. If we ever find out where it's going to be!!? Turning into one of them early 90's raves where you get the call an hour before :lol:
