help with picking a beach rod..??

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Hi mate. I bought a 15' Grauvelle surf 4500 last week and am pretty happy with it. Im only starting out though so dont have much knowledge of rods.

you could take a look at the shakespeare 13ft salt, you can get them in mx or f/s i have the mx and for the money it is a very good rod, as far as i know you can pick them up new for under a ton. they are a very nice rod to use, i have no complaints with the one i have, it dose the job perfect...

I got the International Match last summer and love it. Probably a bit stiffer than the Premier but I found it great for being able to belt a lead out a decent distance. Nothin fancy, just a not very smooth off the ground is all i can manage. Rod felt like it still had loads of power left in it so looking forward to improving my casting style to get the most out of it. I had a couple of smoothies and a ray on it and i reckon it's perfect for that sort of fishing. It might be a bit too stiff for the smaller stuff. I know Dave from this site got the Super Match Extra - the long rod and really likes it too. Dunno if this is much help seeing as I know nothing about the road you actually asked about but sure...
