People:me and no.4 child

Duration:5 till 8

Tide:full at 5.30

Weather:lovely and sunny till the last half hour when it bucketed

Bait:slimey stinkin lug (20) and 3 little razor (not stinky)

Rigs:3 hook flapps

Results:flounder,codling,coalies and rockling




Report:got home from work and decided to hit a reiley mark no walking and fishing out of the back of the red skip 8) while getting my gear ready child no 4 decided she would come with me :shock: ,this caused a row with child no 5 who was offered a trip on sat and couldnt be bothered :roll: but wasnt allowed out due to projectile vomiting 24 hours previously (for 24 hours :( ) got to the harbour and set up three rods ,two for me the expert :mrgreen: and one little one for child no.4 :twisted: needless to say she out fished me by about 11 fish to 2 :roll: i did however catch the biggest fish a 30 cm codling :mrgreen: after two casts and the first flounder child no.4 hijacked my second rod :evil: and just reeled in whichever one got a fish on it first :shock: thank god i had a multi set up as my main rod or i think she would have reeled in my two fish aswell :lol: by 7.30 we ran out of bait but she mananged another two rockling on razor that had already caught 3 other fish :lol: great to get out with one of the sprogs even if she did drink most of my coffee and manage not to touch a worm or a fish all evening :mrgreen:

Well done bud, I was on the wall of the other pier , saw u there, had one 3 bearded rockling in 3 hrs, gutted :D , that is to say I was gutted, fish was returned,, :lol:

Wish I could be home from work and fishing by 5pm,there again i'm lucky to have a job or so they keep telling me :roll: Nice report and pics but where were the teatowels??.Only thing is everyone is going to know that mark now :cry: . Would you recommend that spot at the bend, i thought it was snaggy there or is it ok on the rise :?: Great to see the kids involved :lol:

ahh,, roger. religated to ghillie, baiter, and photographer while the child catches all the fish. welcome to my world :lol: :lol: :lol: . but sure, it's all worth it just to see the smile on their faces,,,,, and if your wee girl is anything like jordan,, being reminded the whole way home in the car just how many more fish she got than you :wink: :D :lol: :lol:

the river was flooding out like a wonka chocolate river :lol: full of leaves and rubbish ect ect so we fished out of the stain so to speak :oops: i wouldnt normally fish their its rubbish :lol: but you have to take the woof wif the smoove :mrgreen:

thats terribe roger us children shouldn't be put into a heirchal family structure, who's number 1 and what did she or he have to do to get to the top? :lol:

be born first :D i have nicknames for em all but they are as hard to remember as their real names numbers are much better ,dont ask me what age they all are cos i dont know some are really old and some are really young and some are in the middle but i love em all :wink: especially on family allowance day :mrgreen:

funny you only got one fish (not ment in a nasty way ) as no.4 wanted to go over to the main wall and fish over by you ,she said it looked better over there for fishing :lol: the grass is always greener on the other side of the harbour i,ve tried that wall a few times without much luck but have heard of small tope and the odd smoothy being taken off it at the end of the summer so who knows :?: i often wonder if all them new rocks they put there a few years ago have any conger living in them yet :wink:
