test curves

#1 Post by seanie35 »

hi looking at fining down the gear for the summer if it comes  , rods in particular, some of the longer carp rods come with a test curve rating and im guessing that a 3.5lb test curve should handle a 2-3oz lead with bait is that info correct :?: cheers in advance of answers 8)
Species....good film.....I'll get my coat

Seanie, you might be better buying a bass rod for bait fishing. I use a 2.5lb rod for lure fishing and have also cast 1-2 oz leads with it. But for the beach I prefer a proper bass rod.
