"D WALL" MONKSTOWN.

Sunday 31.10.05

Passing the ferry yesterday on the Cobh side and plenty of cars parked across on the monkstown wall looks like a lot of anglers fishing any reports, any big cod in yet?

Apparently there have been a few cod caught so far but they are sporadic, ie in on one tide, gone the next etc. The heavy rainfall here this past week or 4 hasnt helped matters either. I have seen some lads hitting them on occasion alright. I of course caught nothing!

Thanks for the reply lads, I was waiting for the rainy season to end before I got stuck in to the wall just afraid I'd miss the first good run of the cod, so much fresh water running into the harbour now can't do it any good.
Will let you know when I have any luck there.
