Keeping Jeep Clean
Lads just wondering if anyone has any good tips on keeping the back of the jeep clean and tidy while using it for fishing trips, i carry a good supply of baby wipes and also hand wash, have a tarpaulin layed down in the back also. Just trying to prevent it being stinked out by mackerel and peeler and the likes. Any ideas welcome.
Long time no sea.

Re: Keeping Jeep Clean
Afternoon,
Get a piece of carpet cut to fit the back of the jeep, after your fishing trip pull it out give it a shake to get rid of sand etc. Youn can even wash it once amonth to keep it fresh !
Danny.

Re: Keeping Jeep Clean
i went to Argos and got one of them blow up beds (double), when i fold down the back seats it completely covers everything, its made of a good sturdy material and its waterproof, if theres any spillage from bait bags etc; you just lift the whole thing out and hose or power wash it, and it was only around £12.
and as a bonus, if the fishing slow, just blow the thing up and have a kipp!!!!

Re: Keeping Jeep Clean
I was looking at those big storage boxes in woodies thinking about maybe putting in the back of jeep
and throwing everything into that, it would contain smells and spillage.
Could also be removed when not being used for fishing.
What you think.

Re: Keeping Jeep Clean
you could try one of these about 60 sterling.

I supppose you need to balance the cost against the damage.

i went to halfords and got a large groundsheet, it covers the inside of the jeep with the back seat down and folds over and covers the gear, and it doubled it is that large, stevecrow has seen it and its easy to wash, just hose it down when hanging over the washing line.

indeed i saw it... and there is also the plus of people not knowing what you have got in the back because it is all covered over too.
pretty much anything that covers the base (the larger surface cover the better) of the jeep and is waterproof (having squid de-freeze in the back on a long journey and you'll understand) should do the trick well, as well as millions of air fresheners..
