Find the main carpark where the ferries come in, drive to the far end where the toilet block is then walk along the coastline for about 10 minutes, you will come to a horseshoe shaped bay. This is the best mark for pollack in Doolin, fish 2 hours each side of high water. Try storm wildeyed sandeels or any black jellies. The pollack didnt start turning up until the end of April last year and the weather is much colder this year.
If you have not fished Doolin before take EXTREME CARE, the whole area is treacherous when there is any kind of wave or swell. Do not fish it alone.
Still not many Bass showing, but if the swells are too much for rock fishing there are plenty of beaches in 10 mile radius of Doolin any one of them could throw up a bass.
The Truth is often stumbled upon by men, most of whom pick themselves up and hurry along as if nothing ever happened.
