too early for bass on the lure?

hey lads, thinkin of headin out lure fishin here in kerry for bass once this frost is gone.. too early ye think? any particular type of lure better for early in the year??thanks lads

I'd say its still a bit early but who knows really. The cold weather which has crept into March has slowed down the Spring really kicking in and I suspect would mean the waters are warming more slowly also. It can't be too far away that lure fishing for bass will start to become productive again though
