lure fishing rookie

Hi lads, i am hoping to give lure fishing a belt this summer after spending the winter bait fishing,, i'm a total newbie and would love to hear any advice on rods, gear, lures plugs etc, and good marks around Dublin. all advice would be greatly appreciated,,
