Sexy reel

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

There something else them yolks, i had considered one (a VS-275) for African heavy duty spinning with 4oz & 5oz poppers but the prices were well beyond what i wanted to spend, they go up to and over $1000 + shipping, they are ment to last a lifetime though and can pretty much be used under water, i just couldnt justify it for 1/2 trips a year

I actually saw that reel somewhere a couple of weeks ago. If it had a coned spool I might have even considered it ha ha.

Some class shimano reels on that site.

The van stal reel are popular here among some surf fishermen. Hard core fishermen (shiskers) they don wet suits and wear cleated shoes called “korkers” they swim out to rocks and
climb up on them way past where any shore bound angler could reach, They use these VS because they are watertight. Another option are the old the pen 704 & 706 spinfishers or Z’s., which they pack with grease they are simply designed and easily maintained, some drill holes in the spool to let the water and sand out.
I personely think that the price for a VS is crazy. I am a fan of the penn slammer reel .
