Mullet first, then seatrout and then bass.
Mullet on light gear give you one hell of a fight when hooked 8)
If they have space to run like in an open sea then they can really give you a scrap!
The power they have behind them is incredible. Seatrout are great too, again on light tackle where in comparison some of the bass I caught last year didn't give me much of a fight at all.
It all depends on how light/heavy your tackle/gear is your using and the size of the fish you've caught in my opinion.

you beat me to it..
when targeting mullet i use very light gear regardless of the size of fish, because its the play of the fish while its fighting that really gets the adrenaline going,
any sea trout i've caught haev usually been a by-catch so the gear wouldnt be as light, even though my largest was caught on light'ish gear, it's still nothing like a mullet.
as for bass, i have fished light for them and they do put up a good fight on light gear, but still nothing like mullet, however fishing for mullet can sometimes be like shooting fish in a barrel, you can see them.. you can see there is loads of them, so its only time before one takes the bait... with bass its more the stealth required to approach them and persistence to keep at it until you get a hook-up..

so for me a 3lbs mullet would beat a 3lbs bass hands down, but an 8lbs8oz bass is hard to beat (especially when fishin for flatties on light enough gear)

never caught a seatrout worth mentioning so i cant relate to them, never caught a mullet in ireland but i have been lucky enough to get thick lipped and golden greys in france when ive fished over there. mulet on light tackle on the float has made any bass ive caught look pathetic. my best ever bass was 7lb 2oz and was caught on a plug on a spinning rod rate 10-30gr so if it ever had its chance to shine that was it, sadly it was landed very comfortably no major runs, most bass seem to come in very easily till you get them to the edge and then they make a halfhearted bid for freedom, but its never heart stopping. a 3lb mullet however really gets you going though :D

best advice for catching species is girls dont like fishing and its hard to catch fish when you sell all your gear'

Has to be mullet 8)
I`ve not fished for bass too much and have only had them to about 3.5lb,but i was using the same rod i use for mullet and sea trout(which i`ve only had to 2lb)
A 2lb mullet beats a 2lb bass and a 2lb sea trout hands down.
I`ll need to get a few 5lb`ers of each so i can compare them better to mullet
Or maybe even a 10lb`er of each just to make sure

The big fish that feeds in Leinster House  is the hardest fighter by far.
The infallible bait is other peoples' money and they can follow the scent for great distances.
Many die uncaught, and the others are only landed rarely as they put up such a dogged fight that it took a €million tribunal 10 years to land some big ones hooked recently. It was a good session because several smaller fish of the same species were hooked and successfully caught.

Methinks we need a few more similar sessions ....... without the catch and release
