Donegal Thornie fest 07.03.10

#1 Post by last cast lad »

People:me and mick

Duration:4.00-9.00pm

Tide:falling

Weather:warm sun, mild, cold after sunset

Bait:mackeral, lug

Rigs:flapper, pulley

Results:me 1 thornie, 2 flounder, 1 coalfish Mick 3 thornie's

Report: Decided to throw a bit of bait at the thornbacks from a rock mark for a few hours, mick was first in with a 3lb'er and was then decent enough not to land anything more until I managed another similar sized one, it was now open season for the thornbacks and mick landed 2 more at about 4lb each :D :D Things then went quiet for an hour or more so we slipped on to a local beach mark to see what it might throw up, I managed 2 flounder about 20cm and a similar coalfish, not quite the same weight as the thornie's so with that anti-climax we packed up and headed for home.
