lough foyle 5-3-2010

#1 Post by fishermannum1 »

People myself

Duration 2 hours

Tide coming to high

Weather dont know, was to cold to notice!!!!

Bait sprats

Rigs running lead

Results 8 flounder 4 seatrout

Report headed off to catch the high tide on the foyle, the usual plan for this mark, rod n' reel and tackle box in the pocket. was on the bank and fishing by 9.30pm, the only results for the first hour was flounder but had missed 4 or 5 good hard takes, again was just to slow on the strike, but finally got my act together and the first trout of the night was landed 8) this was quickly followed by another 3. then it happened  i had my rod across a rock with my hand resting on it ready for the next strike, and a big fecker of a rat walked over my hand    JESUS!!!! bast**d!!! cu*t!!! fu*ker i was roaring every name in the book, the fecker scared the jesus out of me   after that i headed home

Well between the ray up west and the sea-trout, flounder (and giant rats) up north, it seems a pretty poor time for those of us on the south coast, where you'd be lucky to catch a cold at the moment. The next time I hear someone moaning that all the bass are in Cork and Waterford, I'm going to send them to posts like this ...

Good fishing, Fishermannum!

if you give em something to eat they normally stay still enough to fire a rock at em  i hate rats too don they can be all over your bait if you dont keep an eye on it ,then all it takes is for you to bait up then have a smoke or something to eat and hey presto weills desease  if you did survive it you would prob have health problems for the rest of your life :| rats give me the creeps big time!!

Nice results for an evenings fishing.
