Report: Mick thought he saw a break in the east wind so we made a last minute dash for the nearest bit of coast we could find and as you can see it started and finished quite poor but thankfully a few fish did appear between the starfish and crab, even if they were on the small side, nothing over 24cm ther than the dogfish, which was actually quite welcome as we had forgotten what a solid bite actually looked like on the rod tip.
When o when is the fishing going to improve
Fair play for gettin a few fish. I was out last night and had a shed load of coalies but they were all small. Just that time of year i think. I wouldn't have minded a doggie myself to give us a break from the tiddlers. Hopefully things will start picking up soon.
Species 2014: whiting, coalie, pouting, codling, pollack, ballan wrasse, dab, poor cod, mackerel, grey gurnard, conger, ling, cuckoo wrasse, launce, common skate, bass, scad, garfish, blue shark
the fishing been very bleak in donegal so far, but it should pick soon.....i hope,
but fair play lcl/mick for getting out there and giving it a throw, and getting some results

I was up donegal direction myself over the weekend and squeezed in a couple of sessions at Portsalon pier and Rathmullan pier, not one single bite on both occassions??...very dissapointing
