conamara tour day 2

bait.. left overs..

weather.. good and sunny..

tide. full at 7.50am..

results... 7 flounder....

on my travels yesterday i found this mark and thought it would be worth a go.. so droped the kids to school headed out to the mark. fish it from 9.45am to around 1.30 this after.. first cast a lovely flounder to about pound and half.. fished two rods and for most of the session i was keeped busy... finished up with 7 good size flounder..... have to run a pick the kids up. post picture later....

class! pure class! i got a phone call this morning to tell me the kids had the vomiting bug and could not come up,my first thought after i talked to them all was, "i can go fishing this weekend" :oops: :oops: feel guilty now :roll:

you had a couple of nice days for it.. looks like the saying is true.. " BETTER TO BE LUCKY THEN GOOD" :)

Nothing like catching fish from a mark that you found yourself so fair play to you mate. 8)

well i thought about putting them on the bus. but no bus up this way,, only ass and chart....
will be fishing the same mark tomorrow, so hope my luck doesnt run out,,,,,

Hi Lucky,

Came back to have a look at your fish and they reminded me of a video that a chap called “Steve crowe” did awhile back… That name rings a bell, :)

I found the video great and has made life a little easier for me when unhooking flats.. I made up the simple tool Steve use’s in the video from stainless steel wire “didn’t make the one in the video” and was amazed at how easy the hook came out,

Well done Steve, If you haven’t seen it before then its well worth a look,

V. Nice flounder! It's always great when you can get a good days fishing by chance.

List 2011: less fish

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.

cracking session man, and still living up to the name :lol: :lol: :lol: good result for this time of year, and in the daytime too :shock: :shock: :shock: seen steve's vid before and it will improve the survival rate of a deep hooked flattie by 100% man, it's the bizz :wink:

cheers lads .. ye the video is good.. but there where hooked very deep down.. but made a nice feed all the same....cooked that evening... still licking my lips......
