Plenty of pollock spinning and a few mackerel also. Baits on the clean were very slow and apart from some small whiting it was the crabs that were most active. Once it got dark the rough fished better and there more pollock and some small congers. Four spanish trawlers passed us in the dark as we fished there, on their way into the harbour to land their catch. Its not easy to belive there is a future for fishing when these boys are knocking about the west coast.
