Decided my first Ray session of the year was over due so picked up lucky and set off for a deep water mark in South Connemara. Cracking day for it good clarity conditions looked good. First cast I'd a small Thornie on whole sandeel. Alan was next up with a better one around the 4lb mark both fish coming over slack water at HT. After that there was nothing happening we varied the baits but no joy we both had a couple of knocks we fished it into darkness to see if the fish would come on the feed. lucky had a baby Thornie on the last cast it tried to scoff a whole sandeel eyes bigger than the belly stuff  what little breeze there was died and there was no movement at all on the water so we said we'd call it a day. lucky's 1st Ray was sitting on a rock in front of us for a good hour sulking after being returned with the tide dropping we said we'd help it on its way beautiful sight to see Ray swimming on the surface...

Great result lads,

It actually warmed me up looking at the Thornbacks as it lets me know summer is not far away, next week I will start to attack them… I’m running out of excuses for taking time off work but I’m sure I will think of something by next week, :D

Well done again lads,
