Sligo Bass would seem to be pretty scarce. And to be honest i dont know anyone who really activly targets them, I have had 2 in the last 3 or 4 years of fishing the area,(one in Feb. one in september) and have reliable reports of another 3 in the same sort of timeframe. All were taken on a rising tide - 1 or 2 hrs after low water, and heard of them taken on Sandeel, lug, and had one of my own on earthworms. Given the scarcity i'd say any of the beach marks, particularly close to where the beach meets rocks are worth a shot - I often wondered if more would show up if they were activley targeted.

good luck

There's no such thing as a reliable Sligo Bass mark!
Davy is spot on with his advice. I spent years trying to get one around Sligo. I eventually got one last year but alot of time, frustration and bait went into to getting it. You need to fish from low water up into darkness. I prefer to use lug but i'm sure all other baits may work. I even heard of one caught on a Gulp bait on a Sligo beach mark. I won't be targeting them around Sligo for another month or 6 weeks but if ya want to tag along some evening give me a shout.

Cheers
