Dunmore east: 4/09 to15/09
people:Jean & me ,Pier & under lighthouse ,too much dabs & mackerels,
total 2 weeks : 220 fish ;2 bigsfresh eels ,2 big plaices ,wrasses ,whitings ,gurnards , flounders , dogs ,poutings ,pollocks,
bait :mackerel , better tide on the ebb ,

Rathmoyland Cove :10/09 afternoon ,
1 bass 52cm ,1 pollock 60cm ,4 wrasses ;bait :rag ,1 dog ;bait :mackerel,

Achill ,18/09 to 30/09 , people : me ,
Mallarany Pier :7 dogs ,7 wrasses ,5 pollocks ;bait :mack & sandeel ,
Dugort ,Barnynagappul Beach ,1 thornback ray, bait mack ,
Cloghmore Pier ,3 days fishing :ebb tide , 14 dogs , 13 pollocks (800gr-
1Kg ), bait ; mack & sandeel ,
few blanks ,too much wind every days !

Donegal ; 02/10 to 14/10 ,
blank ,Capucin Friary :too much crabs ,Doros Point ; blank ! Dunfanaghy Beach ;afternoon incoming tide , very nice weather but blank !
Pornablagh Rocks ,incoming tide :5 nice wrasses ;bait white rag , nothing
on bottom :bait mack & sandeel ,
Rathmulen Pier ,12/10 afternoon hight tide 2pm :5 dogs ,11 dabs ,2 whitings ;bait ;mackerel ,
After a trip about Fanad Head ,I stop Portsalon Pier, 13/10 ,fishing 2pm to
6pm ,lovely day !fish & sun ! 17 dogs ,2 flounders ,1 nice dab ,1 BIG conger (8Kg) ,I miss 2 others congers !
my last day 14/10 ,after talk with Tanglerat ,I look for a place sheltered
and I fish Tranafaighaboy Beach :2 thornback rays ,6 pounds each ,

Myself and K2 fished Rathmullan (sp) pier not so long ago, fantastic weather and packed with anglers, mostly mackeral bashers (actually only seen one mack caught), many many tiny herring being caught and that was about it ona very strong tide. It's a pity we didn't have much more time to explore other shore marks around the area.

Alain i think i met you down at the flat rocks in dunmore east. I was with another guy fishing for mackeral in the evening. You were talking about coming back later on when it got dark to catch a conger. Was that you?

yes ,I try conger in the harbour at night but i'am not lucky !
I had a good chance at Portsalon in day light !

Hi Alain.
Sorry I was not able to meet you this year, I am delighted you had good fishing. when you were on Rathmullen Pier I was on the other side of the lough, but no fishing. I hope to be with you next year.
