ANTRIM BASS FISHING HELP.

Hi all looking to go and try and catch my self a bass i live in belfast was thinking of the north antrim coast potrush , portstewart etc does anyone have any tips of areas where bass can be caught. i know some people do not like to give away fishing locations but any help would be great thanks.

most o the north coast marks will throw up bass, generally around low tide.
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!

They are there but not a prolific as the south and south west coast, you'll have to put in some time and effort to get one.
Species 2011: [color=#FF0000]Bass (FINALLY), Mullet, Flounder, Mackeral, Pollock, Coal fish.[/color]

As Immunecfg said the best way is to put in the hours, experiment with different baits- 6 years I have been chasing my first bass. Although my mates have caught them rite beside me. :oops:

best bet this time of year for bass is any where from benone to portstewart beaches .now they may not be plentiful and you will have to put the time in,but you could get one any where along that coast line.take a mixture of baits so if the bass dont show you may take some other species with any luck.

august just before dark on a full moon rising tide on the rocks in front of the edgewater hotel ,had 28 schooloies spinning there in 3 hours,had a few on sandeels from the rocks at the start of the beach at night from june onwards on flat nights with a rising tide the salmon jumping heading for the bann is amazing.now that i live in newry wish someone would give me some info on where to get them in carlingford lough
