Hi all,

Anyone any info on this spot? Was considering fishing it over the weekend (early morning).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ta,

Steve.

Can be difficult Steve, always packed with dogfish at night time anywhere along the beach. In the morning I would suggest rag and macko coctails and some lug and try straight out from the Martello tower or way up the south end of the beach where the stream enters the sea. Cast close in say 15-30 yards, The tides are 08:33 lw for Sat so if you fish from say 7.30 - 9.30am you have a decent chance of a Bass or a Flattie or two depending on the conditions, but my money be on a flounder or dab, considering the high pressure we are expecting on Sat/Sun and the slack tides. Casting out further may produce a whiting or two but being early in the morning I wouldn't bother distance fishing. Tight Lines!

Cheers Robert, appreciate that. May give it a go. Will wait to see what wind conditions are like, if there's any kind of surf up I'll head to Laytown area in the hope of bass!

Did you have any luck?

Depends on which part of Donabate you mean. runs from malahide estuary to portrane cliffs.
