People: Gordy, Canning (Brendan) and myself
Duration: 4pm Till 12am
Tide:Up and down then a bit up
Weather:Lovely but bitterly cold later with frost!
Bait:Lug, Mack & Razor
Rigs: Two & 3 hook flappers and some hit and hope pulley's
Results:Tons of Codling, Whiting, Dab's, Flounder, Rockling, Poor Cod and a Doggie.
Report: I picked the lads up in Eithne II which is soon to be decommissioned for a new van, and headed South. Every trip now could be her last and can be very emotional. Thought we we're getting away early but the traffic was still bad on the N11. We took exit 20 of the M11 towards Fishface's special secret mark. I really can't say where though. Entering the town we drove over the Avoca river and headed towards the mark.
Weather was cracking as we set up and straight away we were all into the fish. Plenty of whiting dabs and flounder in close. As well as Codling by the bucket load. At least a fish a cast we were busy all day. We all fished rods at distance but nothing was playing ball. As darkness feel we picked up rockling and poor cod and Gordy managed a doggie! Best fish of the day went to Canning as he pulled out a nice fat whiting that had butter and bread crumbs written all over it!
As it got late the fishing eased off with not a lot showing after ten. So we packed up and headed for home. Good steady fishing all day with plenty of trebles all round. Great little mark that.

Well done Conor, a fine haul of fish, you deserve a big slap on the back
. One thing that annoys me though is when people keep marks secret
. If only you gave us some small clue as to where it was

Ah a few in the 30's but that was it. I had one little fat fella and you could see the shape of the crab in the belly. So they are feeding well!oneillphil wrote:any size to the codling
