silverstrand, galway 19/2/10

#1 Post by chrisfeeney30 »

People:myself and midget

Duration:3 hours

Tide:rising

Weather:flat calm, COLD

Bait:mackeral

Rigs:flappers and clipped downs

Results:me: 1 flounder

Report:Not much to report, fishing was poor. Arrived at the beach to find the water crystal clear, flat calm and shallow. Absolutly opposite of what we were hoping for! Hopes of a decent flattie bashing session were low! There was nothing around except the two little nibbles from micro whiting who couldnt get there mouths around size 2's!!  Tried a few casts out far to try and pick up something in the deeper water but no good. We were packing up our rods when i managed to pull out a 23cms flounder :D :D :D Iv never been so happy to see a flattie   Was nice to get out, just happy to save a blank!!
