North Beach Greystones 17/10

#1 Post by alby »

People:
Myself & Fitz Snr, few others on beach too including Mb3 & fishing buddy
Duration:
7;30 - 11:30
Tide:
HW 11:45
Weather:
Very humid (for October) and calm
Bait:
Peeler, Rag & Sandeel
Rigs:
2 hook flappers & pulley pennels
Results:
2 decent codling (both on crab) comfortably over a pound and about 5/6 smaller ones along with a pin whiting and coalie.

Report:
As far as I know Mark and his mate had a few codling, an lsd and a rockling up until I left, another guy was having a bit of a nightmare, didn't even have a bite, and was fishing right between us!

The fish seemed to move through in shoals with plenty of action on both rods for 20 minutes and then it would remain quiet for a while. Lovely evening but the fishing was far from spectacular.

ahh yeah myself and Seanibo had a few fish. i am just back from there now!! i couldn't manage a codling. Seanibo took 1 nice fish and lost a good coalie in the surf. lots of interest from the fish. i had lots of dogs and for a while became a rockling specialist(!) taking a few but got one nice one. have the photo soon!!
