Red Bay Harbour

#1 Post by Dobe125 »

Hi All,

Gave Red Bay a shot at the weekend but totally blanked, not even a nibble. What really got me through a dull day was watching the Mullet in the Harbour. There was quite a big shoal on the prowl with several absolute monster amongst the. Must admit I tried for ages with small hooks, bits of rag, bits of Mackerel but they totally ignored everything.

Has anyone ever tried to catch these and if so what would be the best method ?

Cheers

i've tried a few times and the only thing i'll try next is a stick of dynamite  i've tried bread, mackerel ,bread soaked in mackerel light gear 4lb line tiny hooks every thing ! kinda frustrating watching them swim up to the bait hold it in their mouth then spit it out before they get to the hook .
