killary and my hot spot.. 9 feb

people.... myself, and cousin stef a.k.a.. stefwest..

tide.. full at 2.52pm...

weather.. n/e.. strong wind and very cold...

bait... lug,squid,mackeral, and sandell...

rigs.. pulley,, two hook flapper,, single clip down...

results,,, codling, whiting,, lsd, one coalie,dab and flounder....


up early to dig fresh bait first,, back to the house had the breakfast and headed off about 9.30 am.. arrived at killary around 10.15am.. set up rods and away we went ,, pleanty of whiting, grip leads where not even getting time to grip before the whiting where on the hook,,and then a couple of codling not great on size but a fish after all, the whiting where approx 8 to 10 inchs... i set up a small spinning rod with a float and long trace with a sandell on it when the coalie took it ... good scrap.. we decided to finish up at three, but just before we did stef hit a lsd on a mackeral bait.. during the day we also had two conger rods out but only got two hits ,, we have had conger up to 35 lbs on this mark.. enough on that on to the hot spot...
got there about 4pm set up two rods each with two hook flapper rigs.. straight away double bads.. steff had a lovely flounder about pound and half.. the fishing was heating up .. after two hours in, it all stoped nothing happened it was like a trawler ran through the place.. so we gather our thoughts and fished on, not much after that apart from 2 more dabs about 8 pm.... called it a day .. and home for the spuds...
a nice 10 hour session............ i will try to learn how to post the pictures.. have not mastered it yet. but soon.......

thanks mate it did at the start like i said in the report, but dont know why the fish went off....
