Thats a fine conger. Well done al. I'm gonna have to hit a few rock marks soon for shot at the eels. Gettin well sick of codling and whiting down here. Wouldn't mind somethin with a bit of a spirited fight. I'd keep that mark under the hat if i was you anyway. Well done.

scrob wrote:Nice rockling, I didn't know they could get to that size, I have a mark in Donegal I catch them at but never anything of much size.
As for the conger, I think I'd cack meself if I had to haul that thing out of the water!
thanks man. all the rockling we get at our other marks hardly ever break the 30cm mark. but that one spot seems to hold a good stock of adult 3 beardys :P :P . yeah, i was just glad dan and ronald were on hand to help me out with him

Well done on the rockling and conger and a great report. :D :D
thanks paddy.
eric wrote:most impressive, just wondering what kinda of depth and ground are you fishing into. cant seem to find a conger off our realiable marks down here as well as the fact ive never caught a bonified 3 beards.
thanks eric. that mark is only about 5ft deep at low water and mabey 15ft at high. but it's because of the thick kelp and boulders on the breakwater there that you get those fish there. but like i said, if you're ever up this way just give me a shout and i'll take you's up to it :P
