Millisle SAC - Crawfordsburn Beach - 10/02/10

People: 6 Members Millisle SAC

David McCormick, Daniel McMinn, Drew McMinn, Andrew Bingham, Harry McKee Snr, Harry McKee Jnr

Duration: 7pm - 10pm

Tide: Pushing, Small Swell

Weather: Light Northerly.

Bait: Various

Rigs: Various

Results:

1st Harry McKee Jnr - 65cm
2nd Drew McMinn - 22cm

Species - Coalfish, Flounder, Rockling, Whiting

Report:

Without hesitation it was time for another Millisle SAC outing, So we went in convoy into Crawfordsburn country park, parked and were on the beach for 6.45pm.

Fishing began slowly, with a couple of small fish showing and a counter for H McKee Jnr.

As the night progressed a few more fish started to show and a nice little mixed bag of fish appeared, sadly nothing really of note, but still nice to get the tips pulled.

I got my Flounder @ 9.30pm and managed to hold on to 2nd til the end!

Great fun with the wee club and can't wait for the next one.

Drew, it's no wonder you haven't got a valentines day present sorted for the other half yet, you won't find flowers and perfume to buy her from around the local beaches! :lol: :lol:

Was a good enough session, good to see a few more flounder about too, considering the last couple of winters being bad for them.

Yeah, it was good craic! Though a few more coalies would have been useful...

nice one guys :P that beach can be hit and miss at the best of times :roll: :roll: . i spent 7 hours fishing it on the rise to high the other week and only got one wee micro coalie to save the blank :oops: :oops: :oops: . so well done on getting a few 8) 8) . just gutted jordan has his footie pratice on wed nights as we would have loved to get in on the action :x :roll: :roll: .

Hit n Miss is right! Loads of tiny things though... Really nice beach to fish all the same! 8)
